At Home With The Lord

Devotional Thought

Have you ever felt homesick for a place you have never been—a deep longing for perfect peace, where every tear is wiped away and God's presence fills every moment? Homesickness hits hardest when we are far away. Paul says that death, for the believer, is the journey home.

Interpretation

2 Corinthians 5:8 expresses the apostle Paul's deep confidence that believers who depart from their earthly bodies will be immediately "at home with the Lord," highlighting the intimate and immediate presence awaiting those in Christ after death.
