Every building needs a solid foundation. Without it, even the most beautiful structure will eventually crack, shift, or collapse under pressure. The same is true for the Christian life. In a world filled with distraction, confusion, and competing voices, followers of Jesus need more than inspiration—we need formation. We need to be grounded deeply and securely in the essential truths of Scripture.

That conviction is what has given rise to our new Foundations Message Series and the accompanying Foundations Devotional Guide.

Too often, believers are spiritually undernourished not because they lack desire, but because they lack guidance—a clear, steady path into the depth and beauty of Christian doctrine. Foundations is designed to meet that need. This is not an academic textbook meant to overwhelm, nor is it a collection of quick inspirational thoughts. It is a year-long journey into the core beliefs that shape Christian identity, discipleship, mission, and hope.

Over the course of more than 50 weeks, the Foundations series will walk us through the Bible’s teaching on Scripture, the character of God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, creation, salvation, sanctification, the final hope of glorification or condemnation, good and evil, Christian living, the nature of the church, and the Second Coming. Each of these themes will be explored for four weeks, allowing space not only to learn, but to reflect, pray, and grow together as a church.

On Sundays, the Foundations messages will anchor us in God’s Word, helping us see how these doctrines are not abstract ideas but living truths meant to shape everyday life. During the week, the Foundations Devotional Guide invites us to continue that journey personally and prayerfully. From Monday through Friday, you will find a daily devotion built around a Scripture passage connected to the week’s theme. Each devotion includes a key verse, a thoughtful interpretation of the text in its biblical context, and a reflection on its relevance for contemporary life. A quote from a Bible teacher or theologian—spanning cultures, centuries, and perspectives—sets the tone for meditation, followed by a reflection question and a prayer prompt to help you respond to God.

In addition, we invite you to participate in our regular prayer times as we seek to root this series not merely in study, but in dependence on the Holy Spirit. Foundations are not laid by knowledge alone; they are formed through worship, prayer, obedience, and shared life in Christ.

Foundational theology matters because it shapes everything else—how we see God, how we understand ourselves, how we love our neighbor, and how we live as citizens of God’s Kingdom. Without solid foundations, faith becomes fragile. With them, faith becomes resilient, joyful, discerning, and fruitful.

We invite you to build with us. Join us on Sundays. Commit to daily devotion. Pray with expectancy. Together, let us lay foundations that will sustain faithful lives for years to come.
