Weekly Theme Summary

Yahweh alone is capable of defeating evil because He is the only One who is perfectly wise, sovereignly restrained, and personally empathetic. His goodness is a fierce, redeeming fire that enters our distress to ensure that evil never has the final word.

Reflection Prompt

• When you see evil seemingly "winning," are you willing to trust God’s superior wisdom and His "long-game" plan for justice?

• How does knowing that God is "distressed in your distress" change your view of His character?

Prayer Prompt

Pray that God will allow you to rest in His perfect goodness, trusting that He will set all things right in His time.
